Your Guide to Richfield, MN
Once you become familiar with everything Richfield, MN has to offer, you’ll instantly understand why we decided to open a restaurant here and why retail giant, Best Buy, moved to Richfield.
Richfield isn’t just another suburb lined with paved sidewalks and white picket fences. Instead, Richfield is the oldest suburb in Minnesota, and it’s the home of some attractions and eateries visitors and residents simply can’t resist.
Here are five of them:
- Wood Lake Nature Center
Wood Lake Nature Center opened in 1971 as the only municipal nature center in the area. Even if you’ve driven north on Interstate 35W a bunch of times, you may have zoomed right past this natural oasis without even knowing it. That’s because a wall creates a definitive line that separates the hustle of the city and the sound of cars driving on the highway from the serenity you’ll find in Wood Lake Nature Center.
Wood Lake Nature Center spans 150 acres. Located just outside of the Twin Cities, Wood Lake Nature Center is dedicated to offering a genuine, undisturbed observational and educational outdoor experience for everyone who visits this breathtaking location.
- Patrick’s Bakery & Café
This little gem is a great place to do several things, such as hang out, catch up on some work, meet up with friends and indulge in some savory, tasty treats.
When you visit Patrick’s Bakery & Café, you’ll often see professionals using their laptops and mobile devices at the tables near the front of the establishment and couples sharing intimate meals in the back.
- Adventure Gardens Mini Golf
Right behind the Veterans Memorial Park Pavilion is where you’ll find Adventure Garden Mini Golf. This 18-hole mini golf course is a nice, affordable place to spend some quality time with your family.
If you want to surprise your date with an unexpected activity, consider bringing your better half to Adventure Gardens Mini Golf for a fun-filled evening.
- Richfield Outdoor Pool
The Richfield Outdoor Pool is a fantastic place to spend warm afternoons with your family and friends. The pavilion has two swimming areas that are fenced off from one another. The deeper pool and the shallow wading pool each have their own eating and gathering spots. This separation allows parents with young children to enjoy their time without having to worry about their toddlers being able to access the deeper pool.
The wading pool has fountains, slides and other features little kids will have fun exploring. The larger pool is perfect for older kids, teenagers and adults. This 50-meter pool has two lap lanes, a diving board, water volleyball and a pair of twisty waterslides children of all ages will get a kick out of.
